I highly recommend that you, NO MATTER WHERE YOUR TRAVELING, see your family physician: Tell him where you're going, including side trips, and how long you're going stay. Ask what vaccinations he recommends? and how long before you leave, you will have to take them? Also check other sources for the same information, i.e. World Health Organization, etc. DON'T trust your doctor to know all the diseases common in the part of the world you'll be traveling in check the area yourself and then Make recommendations.

You'll also want to, before you leave, get him to write proscriptions for any long term medications you are taking and write a list of generic medications that will serve the same purpose.
