When possible always wear your seatbelt, even when the seatbelt sign is off. It's possible to hit Air turbulence at anytime as it can occur even when the sky is clear & it is invisible to cockpit radar

Turbulence can cause abrupt changes in altitude and airspeed & though infrequent, 252 reports of turbulence affecting major air carriers from 1981 - November 1996, two passengers would be alive today had they worn their seatbelts.
