Open Hearth Cooking - The Bake Oven: At Pennsbury Manor The firing of the bake oven was an entire day’s work. The Pennsbury Manor cooks will demonstrate the baking of breads, coffins, gret cakes, pyes, tarts, and the use of the slack oven for drying as the heat retained in the oven drops. 1 - 4 p.m. |
