| Something most of us don't think about often enough is conditioning and even those who do, rarely consider it when planning a vacation but consider this. It's winter and we've been relaxing: No tennis, golf, softball or other outdoor activities (We all don't ski. I haven't since I blew my leg apart, "after 20 years of skiing," about 15 years ago.) and now we are planning a tropical vacation. Since not all of us belong to a gym, we are not in the best of condition. |
| One day, in Bali, while relaxing in our pool one of my new mates asked some of us if we wanted to walk down to the boats that take the surfers out to the surf brakes at airports right & left. Not realizing what I was in for I went along. It ended up being about a four mile walk in soft sand & I was with surfers in their 20's, it's a good thing I was in fairy good shape. You can expect to do some walking in tropical heat, so get in shape. EXERCISE |
| I'm not one for tanning salons, however you may want it get at least a base. If not remember to take it slow when you get to the tropics (That sun can be devastating.) use a good sun block and don't (until you get a base tan.) stay out to long. |
