Information from the Morrisville Times.
Morrisville, Pa. prepares for Bicentennial Celebration.
   The events are still in the planning stage but It seems as if it's going to be quite an event with things happening at
different times throughout the year. Some if these events will be:
 
  The Bicentennial will start on March 29th. 2004 with the proclamation by Mayor Thomas Wisnosky. During this
month the book "A picture history of Morrisville, 2nd edition," will be released and their will be a wine & cheese
colonial celebration at Summerseat.
 
   June is "Patriots' Month" On the 12th. a walk-a-thon will take place near the Greystone Memorial & actors will
dress in historic costumes & portray some of Morrisville's many historic figures. Student re-enactors will give
tours of Morrisville Cemetery where many revolutionary soldiers are buried.
 
   July is "Premier Month:" During this month a original play "The man who brought a country" will be held at
Theatre-in-the-Park and will run during the entire month.
 
   August is "Concert Month"  when the Morrisville Business Association will host a series of concerts in
Williamson Park on every Sunday during the month.
 
   September is "Mayor's Month" the annual mayor's picnic takes place on the 6th at Williamson Park along
with a concert in the park. the Morrisville 200 Committee hopes to honor the 1955 Morrisville Little League
team members who won the world championship that year.
 
   October is "Founder's Month"  it will begin with the rededication of the "Trenton Makes Bridge" other events
during this month will be: Tethered balloon rides, fireworks, a grand parade, & a band concert at Williamson
Park. They will also unveil a statue of Robert Morris by James Gafgen in the park. The statue will eventually
stand on the corners of Bridge St. & Pennsylvania Ave.
 
   Winter Fest begins in Dec.
